JustUs is not a Black or White issue; neither is it merely a privileged or poor issue; rather, it's a people issue.
It's not a tool intended to spur unrest or discord. Rather, JustUs is the collective responsibility that exists when different individuals — that cohabitate an intricately connected world — recognize that we each have a role to play in molding our society into a more perfect union.
In a world full of differences, JustUs recognizes "we the people" as our greatest common denominator.
Injustice
At its core, injustice groups members of our society into silos of "them" and "they" — dividing what was always meant to be one.
Justice
Justice is best achieved when we see each other as "Just Us" — bound together, not separated by circumstance or difference.
Justice, from this perspective, requires that we each take hold of a mirror and see ourselves in one another.
Societal justice begins first with JustUs.
